Sixmilebridge 2-18
Broadford 1-12

Venue - O'Garney Park
Referee - Andy McMahon

This Round 7 fixture was the final game in the Division 10 league for both teams. A win for the Bridge with other results going their way would have put them in the semi final of the league. The Bridge did win and with Wolfe Tones beating Clarecastle well in the other game a semi final place was booked for John Fahys Junior Cs.

An entertaining game whereby the Bridge really only pulled away in the last quarter there were some great battles across the field with one of the best between Aonghus O'Brien at center back for Broadford and Donald Devanney for the Bridge at center forward with neither giving an inch. The Bridge started well when Danny Scullion found the back of the net in the opening minutes. They followed up with 4 points from Liddy, 2 from frees as well as a couple each from Devanney & O'Connell and a single point from Mike O'Halloran to leave the Bridge leading 1-9 to 1-7 at half time. Having played against a stroNg wind it was great to be slightly ahead at half time.

The second half, with the wind saw the Bridge start to get the upper hand and they really pulled away in the last quarter.  Paul Corbett despite an earlier knock managed to put 3 points on the board which was added to by Mike O'Halloran with 1-2, Ben O'Connell with a long range free and a point from play and Liddy with another couple of points. This left the Bridge as winners on a scoreline of 2-18 to 1-12.

Sam Edbrooke was composed in goals and made some fine saves and some excellent puckouts and deliveries to the forwards which led to scores. The full back  line and half back line played and were under a lot of pressure throughout the match. Whilst up front outside of the scorers mentioned above, Paul Hannon & Killian Mcgrath worked very hard. Paddy Lynch especially at wing back had a superb game throughout and was probably the man of the match for the Bridge.

The semi final will be against Ballyea who beat the Bridge in the earlier rounds and Inagh Kilnamona as Table toppers have already booked their place in the Division 10 final.
