Our Under 14 development campaign came to a conclusion yesterday, Saturday, 11 September in the fabulous facility that is the Offaly GAA Centre of Excellence ( or the Faithful Fields) just outside the village of Kilcormac.
On what was a beautiful autumn day, nearly 50 girls put on the Clare jersey for the last time at this age group for 2021. They have represented their county, clubs, schools and families with honour and respect on every occasion they togged out, whether for training, challenge games or inter county blitz’s, and their families should be so proud of them.
It was a mixed campaign of wins and losses, and it was no different yesterday, as Meath defeated the Saffron squad , while the Blue squad had a victory over Galway. We hope the girls enjoyed and learned from the experience of being involved in the development squads and are looking forward to progressing and improving for next year. A massive thanks to Paul, Niamh, Martin, Mary and Tom for the time and commitment they gave to improving the girls.
