We held our first U11 Hurling Blitz in Michael Hogan Park in Grangemockler on Saturday 7th October in what turned out to be a glorious day for players and spectators. There was 7 teams in attendance on the day with over 100 players taking to the field to represent their clubs from Windgap, St.Patricks, Ballingarry, Mullinahone, Kilsheelan and Ballyporeen. There were Dick Tobin and James Lanigan Memorial shields up for grabs on the day which were sponsored by Patrick & Laura Tobin and PJ & Michelle Lanigan. It was a fantastic day of hurling action with some unbelievable skill on show and it was brilliant to see the kids enjoying the games and some very close encounters throughout.

A big thank you to all the parents and volunteers for making this a day to remember. We hope to make this an annual event with a football blitz next year.

Results:

A Final - Winners Mullinahone, runners up Grangemockler Ballyneale.

B Final - Winners Kilsheelan Kilcash, runners up Ballingarry
