U12 Girls V Killavilla

Our U12s travelled to Killavilla this morning in the hope of a second consecutive win.
The game was competitive from the beginning, with both sides pressing on each other.
Eventually, it was the home side who scored first, and about 5 minutes later, they scored again. We were 2 down at the break. The second half was all action, too, and we tried everything to get back in the game. Killavilla scored 2 more to seal the game, and although we lost 4 nil, we made a good game of it. Katie Hartnett in goals was just brilliant for us, making great saves and kicking out super ball. Eva Bailey was super in the backs, again! Holly Fitzpatrick, Aisling Ryan, Kate England, and Abbie Hogan were all very good today also. We'd Amy Keogh, who was doing a super job in midfield, covering every square inch. Also in midfield was Lily Dunne, Ciara Grimes, Leanne Bergin, and these girls had sound games. Upfront was Caoimhe Manley, who was very good as usual. We were very unlucky not to have scored a few goals ourselves, going very close a few times. Today's best player for us was Katie in goals.
Our girls are playing better soccer each week thanks to the great commitment they are giving it!
Maeve Quinn was unlucky to pick up an injury just before kick off, which ruled her out. Hopefully, Maeve will be back at it very soon.
Well done to Killavilla on their win, and thanks to today's ref Hannah O'Brien.
