Sunday was a proud day for Armagh LGFA and in particular for Dromintee’s Aoife McCoy when they lifted the 2024 Lidl National League Division 1 trophy for the first time, defeating Kerry on a 2-12 to 2-9 scoreline.

All at Dromintee GAC are very proud of Aoife’s achievements on this historic occasion.

As always Aoife was supported by husband Karl and the McCoy family in Croke Park and it was surely a proud day for Kevin, Maeve and all the family.

Recently Aoife was awarded Club Sportsperson of the Year 2023 and Armagh LGFA Player of the Year 2023, and now fittingly she starts the year with the Division 1 title.

Dromintee coach Philly McEvoy is one of the coaching team with the Armagh Ladies side. Phillys sons were with him to celebrate the success in Croke Park on Sunday.

Well done also to former Dromintee player Shauna Grey.

All at Dromintee GAC extend our warmest congratulations to Aoife, Philly, all the Armagh LGFA panel and management.
