Ballymackey U17 Girls are through to the Munster Cup Final after overcoming Cork side College Corinthians in The Semi Final in Ballinree. Despite playing well Ballymackey found themselves 2 goals down in the first half hour of the match. The Corinthians keeper produced 3 top class saves to deny Ballymackey a reply and it looked like it could be one of those days, but with 2 minutes remaining in the first half Eimhear Troy scored a super solo effort coming in off the right wing and finishing superbly. This was the key moment of the match allowing Ballymackey to take confidence into the half time break. Ballymackey started the second half like a whirlwind. Amber DeLewis had the equiliser  within 2 minutes and Eimhear Troy bust through the centre of the Cork sides defence to give Ballymackey the lead. Troy added 2 more goals to take her tally to 4 and Amber DeLewis rounded out the scoring with Ballymackey's 6th, finishing a sweeping passing move that typified Ballymackeys display of attacking football throughout.
Ballymackey played some absolutely outstanding football with all players playing out of their skin, hard to justify singling out a player of the match but with Eimhear Troy scoring 4 goals in a Munster Semi Final she does have to get that honour. Eimhear's super teammates were: Ava O Rourke, Emma Nolan, Shauna Egan, Nicola Zarina, April Slevin, Maura Gleeson, Thia McCarthy, Sadhb Connolly, Amber DeLewis, Seonaid McGuigan, Sophia O Meara, Grace Kilgannon and Mya McGrath
