Well done to the Crusheen/Tubber U-14s who beat Tulla in an excellent quarter final tie this evening at Dr Daly Park on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-11.
Crusheen/Tubber started slowly and conceded the first two points, but a Dylan Lyons goal in the ninth minute put them into the lead, somewhat against the run of play. They settled then however, and led by 1-4 to 0-6 at the break.
The winners led throughout the second half, but there were some anxious moments late on as Tulla desperately sought a goal that ultimately never came. While they reduced the Crusheen/Tubber lead to just a point going into injury time, Eoghan McMahon had the final score as time ran out.
Crusheen/Tubber will now face O'Callaghan's Mills/Bodyke in the semi final next Friday evening. Meanwhile in the C grade Crusheen will be at home to Ennistymon in the quarter final on Monday evening.
