Aghada 8-19 St. Catherine’s 1-14

Great opening start for our U16 hurlers with a comprehensive win over St. Catherine’s on Monday evening in Rostellan. With 5-11 on the board by half time, Aghada had set down the early marker with fine scores from Jake Morrissey, Adam Lewis & Matthew Condon and full forward Tom Walsh on fire, scoring 4-6 of these, there was no way back for St Cathrines HT 5-11 to 0-06.

Aghada didn’t ease up in the second half and with a fast early goal by Shay Rooney, they continued the dominance with some good scores from Cillian Scanlon , Jack Dorney & Cormac Crowley. A great team effort on the night with and an all round performance will set the lads up nicely for their next encounter with Passage away on the 19th Aug.
