It is with great sadness that we are informed of the death of Tony Keady, who passed away last night. Tony was a  Killimordaly man and won a senior county title in 1986. He was part of the Galway squad who competed so well in the 1980s and early 90s winning two All Ireland's in 1987,1988 where he played centre back. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Margaret, daughter Shannon, sons Anthony, Jake and Harry, his extended family and many friends.

Tony worked in Calasanctius College, Oranmore where he guided and coached the hurling and camogie teams.

He will fondly be remembered for his contribution to Galway hurling over the years. Described by so many as a character with a great personality. He will be sadly missed.

Rest in Peace Tony Keady
