Bunbrosna GAA Notes 2/03/25

Club Lotto will take place next Sunday at 12:00pm in the Old Dressing Rooms for anyone that would like to attend. Our Lotto Jackpot is now at €2,100. It continues to be our primary source of revenue to fund the day to day running of the club.

Our Lotto can be done online by clicking on https://bunbrosnagaa.clubifyapp.com/products. Online entries must be in by 11:00am. Thank you to all who support our club lotto.

We travelled to Streamstown on Saturday to take on the home side in Round 2 of the League. A tight affair ensued in the opening half with St. Joseph’s going into the break 0:08 to 1:04 ahead. Aidan Finnan scored Bun’s goal.

The second half saw the home side kick on to record a seven point win on a score line of 0:16 to 1:06. We play Kinnegad next Saturday in Bun at 3:00pm.

Footnote: Well done to Gordon Medforth who made his competitive adult debut on Saturday. The first of many Gordon!

Bunbrosna GAA / LGFA will be holding their Registration Day on Saturday next 8th March at the new Clubhouse in Bun for all boys, girls, families and adult members who wish to join. Help will be available with any questions and to process your membership in person. All are welcome to attend. We are delighted to announce that we will be organising another Couch to 5KM this year. Planning is ongoing and it will commence on Monday 10th March. Check out our Facebook page for the sign up form.

The Club Swap Shop is up and running. Any Club gear that has been outgrown and still in good condition can be dropped off at the Old Clubhouse on Tuesdays between 11:00am and 12:00pm. Times and dates will change once Underage Training starts in March.

Congratulations to Inny Football Club U14 boys who qualified for the last 8 of the  Subway SFAI Cup. A fantastic achievement and a special mention to all of the Bunbrosna and Inny Shamrocks players on the panel!

Congratulations to the Westmeath Minor Ladies and their management team on a fantastic and comprehensive victory over Carlow. A special mention to all of the Clann Gaels players on the panel!

The Westmeath Minor Camogie Team made the long trip to Kerry on Sunday to take on the home side in the All Ireland Championship and came away with a hard fought draw. Well done to the Clann Gaels players on the panel.

Best wishes to Paddy Wallace on his appointment as Chairman of Westmeath Coiste na nÓg, and to Barry Kelly as Secretary. 

Thank you to Barry for his hard work as Chairman and to outgoing secretary Peter Collins for all of his hard work in a very important role.

Membership for 2025 is now available. The rates of membership this year can be found on Foireann. There are various options available for members as well as for those who wish to avail of access to our Gym or to the Walking Track. All membership must be done through Foireann. 

In order to register, log on to your Foireann account from last year and follow the membership prompts. If you don’t have a Foireann account just log onto www.foireann.ie and register a new account and select Bunbrosna as your club. Once you have this done you will be able to select the membership option that suits you best.
