Make an Impact: Avoca HC Launches Fundraising Campaign to Enhance Facilities

Avoca Hockey Club has announced a fundraising campaign aimed at enhancing playing facilities and improving the experience for supporters. The club has seen remarkable growth, with a 60% increase in playing membership, with the club now being the largest on the Island. We now aim to raise €500,000 over the next four years to continue its legacy.

The club has grown significantly over the past 15 years, expanding from a single pitch at Newpark to five pitches at four different locations: Newpark, Sion Hill, St Andrews, and Foxrock. This expansion has been made possible by approximately €2 million in investments in playing facilities, lighting, and equipment, funded through partnerships with schools, state grants, and capital contributions from the club via loans. These loans were financed through surplus income and event fundraising.

The funds raised from this campaign will be crucial in maintaining the quality of our playing facilities and enhancing your experience as players and supporters. The club has outlined the need and purpose of the funds, along with the available tax relief, in a case for support here.
