Kinvara GAA would like to extend our condolences to the family of the late Tony Connors RIP.

The Newtownlynch native came from a strong GAA family, and Tony himself excelled for our club in both hurling and football. He won a County Intermediate title with Kinvara in 1966, on a team that also featured his brothers Willie, Jimmy and Joe. Tony’s prowess at gaelic football was evident in the fact that he won South Board Junior football medals in 1966 and 1968.

Although Tony moved to Tuam he was always at our club events, be it team reunions, club tours, and club matches.

We extend our sympathies to his wife Kitty, sons Noel, Danny and John, their families, and all his family here in Kinvara.
