County League

AN injury hit Silvermines side lost out on a scoreline of 2-17 to 2-21 St. Mary’s in the second round of the county league in Dolla on Sunday last.

Silvermines were very much outplayed by a strong St. Mary's side in the opening half and trailed by 2-11 to 0-6 at the break.

Second half goals from Sean Nolan and Danny Quinn coupled with points from the stick of freetaker, Ronan Cunneen and Pa Leamy served to bring the 'Mines withing striking distance late in the game but St. Mary's added a late point to ensure a deserved four point victory for the visitors.
