Trim faced a strong Navan side in a competitive and hard-fought match, with both teams displaying impressive skill and determination throughout.
Navan opened the scoring with early points, but Trim quickly responded with Shona getting Trim on the scoreboard.
The backs for Trim, put in strong defensive performances, with Gráinne making several crucial saves to keep Trim in the game.
There were periods of intense pressure from both sides. Ellen and Emma linked up well in attack, while Alex, Bláthnaid and Sarah contributed with important runs and passes. Navan managed to find the net for a goal, but Trim stayed in touch thanks to Amy finding the back of the NOM net and a great score from Emma outside the D. At halftime, Navan led narrowly, 1-5 to 1-3.
Trim started the second half brightly with Shona quickly adding a point to the tally, followed by another from Alex. Rian worked tirelessly in the middle of the field making valuable contributions to both the attacking and defence.
Both teams exchanged goals, Shona for Trim responding at the other end. The match saw excellent defensive work from each of the backs, as well as more crucial saves from Gráinne.
In attack, Amy continued to impress, winning frees and converting scores, while Bláthnaid made a great run to set up another point. Julianne and Emma were also influential, winning key possessions and moving the ball forward.
Despite Trim's battling efforts and some fine scores, Navan managed to edge ahead with late points.
Trim matched a strong Navan team for much of the game, showing great teamwork and resilience. While Navan ultimately took the win, Trim's performance was full of positives, with standout moments from both the forwards and the backs.
