Our U14B side entertained Glencormac at Whitegates this evening in the Cup. In a close first half, it took a penalty to break the deadlock in the 26th minute, when a surging run from Daniel Morrissey was halted in the box, resulting in a spot-kick. Morrissey dusted himself off and calmly dispatched the penalty low to the keeper’s left to put Rovers ahead.

Morrissey wasn't finished there, completing a first-half hat-trick with two further goals, either side of a fine strike from Casey Brennan. Rovers kept the goals flowing after the break, with Nathan Vickers (2), Cian Foley, and Lukas Araminas all finding the net. There were also special moments for Luke Mulhall, who scored his first goal for the team with a good header and for Rian Kavanagh, who netted his first-ever match goal to the delight of his teammates and supporters.

A big thank you to Glencormac for a sporting and competitive game — but it's Rovers’ name that goes into the hat for the next round!
