Our Senior B team hosted Premier Division side Greystones today at Whitegates in the quarter-final of the Wicklow Cup. Rovers started strongly, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Jordan and Lorcan Sinnott after just 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, the match was marred by a serious injury to Charlie Czwalina, who suffered a broken leg following a tackle. The match was subsequently abandoned, with Greystones conceding the game, allowing Rovers B to advance to the semi-finals, joining their A team counterparts.

This was not the manner in which the team wished to progress, and everyone at the club sends their best wishes to Charlie for a speedy and full recovery. Charlie has shown incredible resilience in overcoming two previous ankle injuries, and we hope he can draw on that same strength to return to full fitness as soon as possible.
