A very nice day was had in Oranmore on bank holiday Monday as the All Ireland winning Galway u16 Camogie team stopped off at the Community Centre on their tour of the clubs in the county. They were led off the bus by our Oranmore Maree representatives on the squad, Roisin Coleman and Ella Tarpey.
A big crowd gathered to greet the girls and it was a lovely occasion in the bright sunshine, added to greatly by the u13 footballers and their families who were holding a blitz at Oranmore pitch at the same time and shared out tea, cakes & sandwiches with the squad. Also great to see our county senior players, Ailish, Rachael and Roisín there to congratulate and applaud the girls.
Well done to Ella & Roisin and their teammates and we were delighted to see them and to recognise their achievement in bringing two All Ireland medals back to Oranmore Maree.
