Our U14A's secured a convincing 3-0 away win against Arklow United in their Premier League match tonight. Rovers were in control for the majority of the game but Arklow proved a tough outfit to break down.
The breakthrough came in the 17th minute when Michael Carroll rose highest to meet an AJ Long corner kick, heading the ball into the net.
The second goal didn't arrive until the 71st minute, courtesy of excellent build-up play, with Will Carey playing a precise pass to Eoghan Quinn, who slotted the ball home.
Just one minute later, Rovers sealed the win when Carey picked out Mikie O'Neill with a perfectly weighted pass. O'Neill showed great composure, expertly lobbing the Arklow goalkeeper to make it 3-0.
