The U18s claimed a well-deserved victory in the U18 Shield Final against Éire Óg with an impressive team performance, securing a strong win.
The team got off to a flying start, going into the halftime break with a commanding 2-04 to 0-05 lead. Goals from Rory C., who confidently converted a penalty, and Jack Mac gave the team early momentum. The attacking play was sharp, and the defense held firm to limit the opposition’s scoring chances.
The second half saw more composed and disciplined play from the side, with Conor G. sealing the win late in the game with a well-taken third goal. Throughout the match, there were standout individual efforts, particularly from Stephan Gavin and Donal O’Leary, who chipped in with some excellent scores that kept the scoreboard ticking over.
Luke Deegan l also put in a notable performance, showing energy and skill across the field. However, this final was very much about the collective effort. From the backline to the forward line, every player contributed to the win.
Well done to the players and management!
