And You Thought the Season Was Over…
Not for this crew! Our U12 boys laced up their boots and hit the road for one more run at glory, taking part in a post-season blitz in Cork this weekend — and they did our club proud!
In warm, sunny weather with definite summer vibes, this mighty group were the only team representing the Kingdom on the day — but they didn’t let the heat or the numbers hold them back.
They opened strong with a fantastic 39–27 win over Bantry, showing off some slick teamwork, tough defense, and fast-break finishes. They were buzzing!
With spirits high, the boys powered on to the quarter-finals where they faced a sharp Portlaoise Panthers side. It was a close one, but the Panthers edged it by just 5 points. After a long day and a tight roster, our lads had given it everything they had and left it all on the floor.
Huge credit to the players (and coaches!) who turned up, battled hard, and finished the season in style. This is the kind of commitment and dedication that Tralee Magic truly values. Keeping a ball in their hand over the summer and taking any chance to play with friends is what it’s all about — and it’ll give them a brilliant head start for next season. Keep it up, lads!
