It has been a busy week of Schools Hurling with lots happening across Primary and Secondary Schools involving our boys..... Thanks again to all the teachers in our schools who continue to nurture the love of the game for all our players.

Ard Scoil Ris
Congrats to Jack Reddan and Darragh Toomey who were part of the Ard Scoil Rís 1st Year Hurling team who won the Lufthansa Technik Shannon Limerick Post Primary 1st Year A Final vs Colaiste na Trocaire this afternoon on a scoreline of 4.12 to 1.10.

St. Caimins Community School Shannon
Congratulations to St. Caimins 1st year hurlers who the shield final against Killaloe 7-15 to 4-12 in Tulla this week. The Bridge boys lead the way with 7 green flags including Liam Mulready (4), Caelan Hayes (2) and Padraig Chaplin (1).


Tulla Crowned 1st Year Champions
Congrats to Kielan O'Brien and Tomás Tubridy who were part of the St Josephs Tulla 1st years school team who were crowned Clare Champions this week when they defeated St. Flannans (Surnames M-Z) in the final on a score of 4-12 to 3-12.




Sixmilebridge NS
A busy week for our St Finnachtas Primary School who were in action on Tuesday away to Clonlara and were unfortunate to be beaten by 2 points. They were back at home in O'Garney Park today and had a comfortable win over Killaloe (5-07 to 1-02) to bring them back into contention to qualify for the knockout stages with one game remaining in their group agsinat Cratloe.

Kilmurry NS (Division 4) qualified for the semi finals of the Schools competition following wins over St Aidans Shannon (which included JJ form our U13s), Mountshannon/Lakyle & Flagmount/Dromindoora on Monday. Full report here.

St. Senans
(Division 5) also qualified for the semi final stages today (Tuesday) when they beat Parteen. They lost out narrowly to St. Conaires but still qualify in 2nd place in their group. Well done to Alex and his teammates.

Clonmoney NS (Division 3) qualified for the semi final stages when they beat Ogonnolloe in O'Gaerney Park on Tuesday. This follows their 1st round win over Broadford and sees them through with 2 games remaining. They will play Newmarket on Tuesday and Crusheen on Friday to decide the final group placings for the knockout stages.

Cumann na mBunscoil Skills competition
Well done to Matthew from our U13s who was part of the Clonmoney School team who finished in 2nd place in the Schools County Skills competition held in Clareabbey today (Friday). The event was won by Barefield NS with 375 points (who go on to the Munster finals next month) followed by Clonmoney in a close second on 370 points.
