FURTHER PROGRESS FOR TIPP TEAMS An excellent week (and a bit) for the senior and U20 hurling teams saw the former make it out of the Munster shark pool at last and the latter annex the Munster title, making it to the All Ireland final as a result. The seniors recovered from a rotten start against Waterford to battle it out and, like the U20s, finish strongly against a side only too aware what defeat entailed. Even when reeled in during the second half, they responded in impressive fashion reminiscent of their finish to the Clare game...this time running out comfortable victors. The road ahead has now widened and, while most supporters will be taking a realistic view of our progress, that progress is still significant and Liam, the team and his background staff must be very pleased. Heartiest congratulations to them.
ALL IRELAND FINALThe U20s head back to familiar territory in Nowlan Park on Saturday 31 May at 3pm. to contest the U20 All Ireland final with the locals. It won't be foreign territory as 12 of the panel were part of last year's effort v Offaly at the same venue. Furthermore, 15 of them were All Ireland minor medallists in 2022 and 2024, both also at the Kilkenny venue. These lads deserve the sort of support brought last year for the legendary "Baker's Dozen" minor team so let's get behind them.Tickets on sale now at LINK.
