Gers U11s Match Report – 23rd May 2025
In the second round of the Louth GAA series, the Gers U11s fielded two teams once again. One team were at home in Haggardstown, where they faced St. Finbarrs and a combined side from Kilkerley and Naomh Malachi. The other team made the trip to Newfoundwell, Drogheda, taking on Newtown Blues and Cooley Kickhams.

A total of 25 players were involved across both venues, with everyone getting valuable game time and the opportunity to further develop their skills. It was a wet evening, and the slippery conditions really tested the players’ handling abilities with a greasy ball in play throughout all matches.

The management team were generally pleased with the performances, noting continued progress in both individual and general team play.

Looking ahead, our next round of fixtures takes place on Friday, 6th June, with both teams playing away from home. Full details will be shared closer to the time.

Training continues on Tuesday, 27th May at 6:00 PM at the Gers, where we will continue to focus on refining support running skills and improving positional awareness.
