Yesterday, the U13 Girls, with help from U12 Girls, took part in an 11-a-side 6 team blitz hosted by Maynooth Town.
6 Teams across DDSL & KDUL took part in 5 20mins games each - Maynooth, Leixlip, Enfield, Kinnegad, Kilcock & Liffeybank.
All teams bar Leixlip & Maynooth are already in 11-a-side Leagues this year. Both Leixlips U13s & U12s will go 11-a-side in Sept.
We started off sluggish in the first two games but still managed the wins. And came into our own from the 3rd game onwards conceding only 1 goal in 5 games.
Super effort from all the girls considering some had played an 11-a-side game that morning against Phoenix & won. And others won their camogie Semi Final too.
Massive thanks this year to U12 girls & coaches who helped us out throughout the season.
Not a bad finish considering we started the season with a squad of 8 for the first 3 games (winning 2).
