Yesterday saw a unique Wicklow Cup semi-final as our Senior A team faced off against our Senior B team at Arklow United. The game was played in excellent spirit, showcasing the depth of talent within Wicklow Rovers AFC.
In the end, the Senior A team ran out as convincing winners, with their experience proving decisive against the youth of the B team.
The Senior A team now advances to the Wicklow Cup final for the second consecutive year. Having suffered a narrow loss to St. Peter’s last year, they will be hoping to go one better this time around.
With the WDFL Premier Division title already secured, the Senior A team now has an incredible opportunity to add more silverware to their collection. They are set to compete against the same strong St. Peter's side in three finals over the coming weeks: the Jim McLaughlin Cup, the Charlie Byrne Cup, and the Wicklow Cup.
