Junior League
Our final game of the league was a home fixture, with neighbours Scotstown, on Friday last. Once again, it was very unseasonal weather conditions with wind and rain battering both teams from the start. Despite this, both teams weighed in with strong opening scores and it was fairly nip and tuck for the first half. The Seans, however, did push their noses in front with a three point lead at the break. The second period continued in the same vein and the home side managed to keep a small lead for the duration. Scotstown did not give up and the last ten minutes became crucial as the visitors fired everything at the Seans in search of a win. The final whistle eventually sounded and we had managed to hold on to the three point advantage for the win. Congratulations to the team and management who have put in a sterling performance in the league and, it would appear, have secured a home semi final in the coming weeks.
