The championship is well and truly underway for our adult hurlers, while our youngest stars flew the Syls flag high at blitzes and provincial finals across Leinster. Here’s your full wrap from a weekend packed with effort, pride and plenty of sunshine.

Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship: Seniors Take the Spoils

A super second-half showing saw our senior hurlers begin their Go Ahead Ireland Premier Intermediate Championship campaign with a 6-point win at home to Naomh Fionnbarra. A killer goal and a steady stream of white flags saw Syls pull away in the final quarter to seal the deal.  Full-time: Syls 1-21 | Naomh Fionnbarra 1-15 - A confident start to championship life.

Junior C Hurling Championship: Narrow Loss for Second Team

Earlier on Saturday, our Junior C (second) team took to the field in Broomfield in a thrilling back-and-forth encounter with Na Gaeil Óga. Despite two well-worked goals and a huge effort, Syls fell just short.  Full-time: Syls 2-15 | Na Gaeil Óga 3-13  A narrow defeat but plenty to build on.

Junior F Hurling Championship: Tough Night for Thirds

Friday night in Drimnagh Castle saw our third adult hurling team face a strong St James Gaels An Caisleán side in their opening Junior F Championship match. A challenging night, but the boys battled throughout.  Full-time: St James Gaels An Caisleán 5-23 | Syls 1-4  Heads up — more opportunities ahead.

🔵🟢 Juvenile Roundup: Blitz Spirit & Leinster Pride

🏐 2015 Girls Shine at Fingallians Blitz
Our 2015 girls footballers were out in force at a brilliant blitz hosted by Fingallians. They played five matches against teams from Wicklow, Meath, Kildare, Armagh and more — showing off fantastic skills and huge heart despite the scorching heat. Slushies, BBQ treats and cupcakes kept the energy up and the smiles going.  💙💚

Community Games Heroes Take a Bow
The 2014 and 2015 hurlers wrapped up an amazing Community Games journey on Saturday, reaching the Leinster Final where they met a strong Aghervillar team from Kilkenny. Despite the result not going our way, these young lads did the club proud and left it all on the pitch. A brilliant group who’ve shown heart and togetherness all season.
👏 A huge well done to players, mentors and parents for a special campaign.👏

🔵🔵 Intercounty Highlights: Syls Stars Shine for the Dubs

We’re bursting with pride watching Syls players represent Dublin across codes and counties:

💙 Niamh Egan starred for the Dublin U14 Camogie team in a fantastic win over Kerry on Saturday — a huge achievement and a brilliant performance!
💙 Conor Halpin and Tom Kirrane (from Syls 2011s) both lined out for Dublin U14 footballers in two matches against Laois in Portlaoise on Saturday afternoon. Great to see our young footballers flying the flag.
💙 Martha Whelan was part of the Dublin Minor Ladies Football squad that overcame Galway last Thursday to secure a spot in the All-Ireland Final! Massive congratulations, Martha — we're right behind you.
