Sylane 14-track CD in shops next week.
The new 14-track CD to celebrate Sylane hurlers winning the County Galway A, Junior1 and Connacht championships will be in the shops on Wednesday week and will make an ideal Christmas gift. Apart from having 3 new tribute songs to the victorious Sylane team of 2017, including one titled Sylane's Dream to the air of Islands in the Stream with new lyrics by Captain Paul Burke there is a new Galway hurling anthem on the CD sung by The Conquerors and titled Galway the Champions. The youngest performers on the CD are Reanna and Ava Collins singing a song that was a number one for boyband Hometown while Emma Brady, sister of star player Kevin Brady sings The Fields of Athenry as well as joining team members and Marianne Loughrey on Sylane's Dream. It will also have new songs written by Rita Flaherty, Mattie Keane and Pat Fitzgerald plus a track sung by the late Joe McDonagh, former Galway star and President of the GAA. The CD is dedicated to the memory of former Sylane club Chairman and President Sean Costello (Snr) Full list of singers and shops where CD will be on sale to be announced next week.
