Lisdowney 7’s shield winners 2025
Congratulations to our U13 7 a side team who have won the prestigious Lisdowney 7’s shield competition in a first for the club.
The boys played an excellent brand of hurling throughout the day and beat Harps of Laois in quarter final, Galmoy/Windgap in semi final and a Tommy Walsh inspired Tullaroan in a fiercely contested final.
Two goals from Sean Cottrell and 5 points from Conor Galavan were crucial in a 2-7 to 0-9 point final win.
There were tremendous performances from all involved.
Panel on the day was: Ryan Spelman, captain, Conor Galavan, James Byrne, Sean Cottrell, Michael Kirwin, Jack Clifford, Padraig Furlong, Danny White and George Culleton. Also special mention for Bobby Brennan, Will and Jamie Nolan who were not there today but played their part in helping to qualify for finals day.
