The Junior C hurlers picked up their first win of the championship yesterday evening versus Annaghdown.
Oranmore Maree lined out with a blend of youth and experience and after a tit-for-tat start managed to move through the gears to go in ahead at half-time. Annaghdown had their purple patch in the second half but the lads continued to work hard and maintained their lead throughout, winning in the end 2-17 to 1-12.
This is the lads’ first win of the campaign and sets them up for a tilt at a quarter final spot ahead of their final games against Kilconeiron and Kilbeacanty.
