Our minor academy side produced a strong display last night to see off Éire Óg in Round 2 of the hurling campaign, sealing the win with a dominant second-half performance in Caherlohan.

The Magpies struck early with a Kiernan Sheridan goal as well as some excellent point-taking from play and placed balls pushed them into a commanding position. At the break, Clarecastle held a 1-10 to 0-8 advantage, giving them a five-point cushion.

After the restart, the Magpies tightened their grip on proceedings. They controlled possession, defended with intensity, and showed their scoring power up front to rack up an additional 2-11 by the final whistle.
