"St Finians under 16 hurlers opened their championship campaign with an away clash against Lucan Sarsfields.
St Finians started strongly with an early goal and good points. Lucan then found form and the scores were level at 1-4 each at the midway point in the 1st half before St Finians pushed
on again to lead 2-7 to 1-5 at half time
St Finians started the 2nd half in strong fashion but a Lucan comeback saw only 1 point separating the teams with 10mins remaining.
In the final stages St Finians showed good composure and confidence and were able to get the necessary scores to secure a 6 point win on a 4-15 to 3-12 scoreline"
