The annual Kevin Keheller U11 Tournament took place in Blarney on Saturday, with visiting teams Sixmilebridge, Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) & Cashel Kings making the trip.
It was a brilliant day of hurling, with skills, teamwork, and determination on full display from all teams – a true showcase of the bright future of our game.
After some thrilling early-round clashes, Na Piarsaigh and Cashel Kings advanced to the Shield Final, where Na Piarsaigh came out on top after a strong performance.
Attention then turned to the Cup Final, which saw hosts, Blarney, take on the unbeaten Sixmilebridge. The final was a tense, high-quality contest, with Blarney battling from the very first minute and pushing Sixmilebridge all the way. In the end, Sixmilebridge just edged it by two points, but they were made fight for every single score.
To cap off a special day, our very own Mark Coleman was on hand to present medals to all the teams — a day to remember for every player involved 👏
The future of hurling is certainly bright in Blarney and beyond! 🔴⚪️
