On Friday the 5th September members of our victorious 1975 County junior winning side will gather in Moynihans from 8.30pm to recollect on their achievements 50 years after their victory in the final vs Clonmore.
All members past and present are invited to attend on the night.
The story of the county win is well told in our club history by Sean O’Donnell, the buzz around the town in advance of the final to the celebrations in the town afterwards which were even marked in poetry.
The final was played in Semple Stadium on the 30th November and finished on a final scoreline of St. Mary’s 1-9 Clonmore 1-6 and was remarked at the time in our history to have been our finest hour.
