TIPPERARY HURLER OF THE YEAR 2025We are delighted to announce that John McGrath is Tipperary Supporters Club Hurler of the Year 2025, as chosen by you - the current members of the Tipperary Supporters Club.John will be presented with the annual trophy, kindly sponsored again this year by Quirke Trophies Ltd, Cahir, and the perpetual Tony Reddin Cup, provided by the Reddin family.John finished the Championship as joint top scorer from play with 7-16 so it is no surprise that he took the honours despite stiff competition from several others. The presentation to John will be made at a later date.We congratulate John and thank you, the members, for taking the time to vote and making it a most interesting competition.
Sean McLoughlin RIPWe bid farewell to one of Tipperary's all time greats, the legendary Sean McLoughlin, earlier this week. An unassuming man, he was part of the renowned Tipp team of the 1960s...one which has to come into the reckoning when discussion turns to The Greatest Team of All Time. Like several others, they came tantalisingly close to winning a five in a row in the years 1961, 1962, 1964 and 1965. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
