Wicklow Rovers U14A’s bounced back in style from Thursday night’s disappointment with a convincing 4–0 win away to Arklow Town.

The deadlock was broken in the 27th minute when Will Carey reacted quickest during a goalmouth scramble from a corner to slot home and put Rovers ahead. Just before half time, AJ Long slipped through a clever pass for Daniel Clarke, who calmly finished to double the advantage.

Rovers carried their momentum into the second half. In the 46th minute, James Carroll provided the assist for Mikie O’Neill to make it 3–0, before Eoghan Quinn sealed the result in the 50th minute with a superb lob over the advancing Arklow goalkeeper.

It was a complete team performance from back to front. Defensively, Jack Collins and Michael Collins were rock solid alongside goalkeeper Ben Morrissey, who made sure of the clean sheet. In midfield, Ronan Byrne and Simon Lynch worked tirelessly to control the game, while Kyrylo Kliucknyk, Eoghan Daye and Finn Murphy provided constant energy and width, driving Rovers forward throughout.

A strong, disciplined display ensured Rovers got back to winning ways with a result that will boost confidence going forward.
