Our senior footballers are through to the semis following a win over Miltown in a wet Cusack Park last weekend, well done to the lads who worked hard on the heavy ground to get the win. They have been drawn against Lissycasey for the next stage and the game is set for Saturday Sept 27th at 4.30pm in Cusack Park. Commiserations to our Junior A footballers who lost out to Kilmurry Ibrickane by a single point in a game they led for the majority; played in wet conditions out in Kilmihill the lads were very unlucky when the Bricks snatched two late points to take the win. Our second Junior B team were in the unenviable position of having to give a walkover to Clarecastle on Sunday, numbers were tight and a few late injuries left them with no other option despite best efforts. That sees the end of the year for them as O’Curry’s had pulled from the competition, onwards and upwards for 2026. Our Premier Junior B team were drawn against Doonbeg for their Qtr final, the game is pencilled in for Sun 28th @ 12 in Lissycasey. Congrats also to our Intermediate Camogie team who had a storming second half to beat hosts Ruan in last weekend’s Qtr final. They will play Clooney away Sat 27th.

There is plenty to play for this weekend with our senior hurlers out in semi final action on Saturday when they take on Kilmaley at 4.30pm in Cusack Park. Look forward to seeing a sea of red and white to shout the lads on. The game will be streamed for anyone not in a position to attend, link below. On Sunday, our Intermediate hurlers head to Broadford at 12 in search of a semi final spot with Ogonnelloe providing the opposition. Our Junior C match on Sunday evening has been moved to Éire Óg as Sixmilebridge is unplayable. Also on Sunday morning, our minor footballers will host Clondegad in a quarter final, throw in is 10am in Éire Óg.

On Friday evening our Junior Ladies play their refixed round 1 game v Banner and on Sunday our Senior Ladies will host Miltown at 2pm in a relegation final. Hopefully the girls will get over the line and get a bit more time to find their feet at senior level.

Ladies Football

Our Junior ladies play their second game v Banner in Lees Road, Friday 19th at 8:30pm, under lights on the Astro.

The Seniors take on Miltown Ladies in the Relegation Final on Sunday 21st at 2pm in Eire Og.

Our young Minor team contested the Div. C Cup Semi final b Banner on Tuesday last in Lees Road. A huge effort by the girls, in difficult conditions. While we missed out on the night, we could not be more proud of the girls, and their dedication to their jersey. Pipped at the end, but only just! Congratulations to our girls who played their last minor game with such leadership and heart, and to the younger players, the future is definitely red and white.

A big thank you to Eventmaster and Culligan Drywall for sponsoring our Gaelic4Mothers&Others team who took part in the National G4MO Blitz in Dublin recently. The team had a great day out on tour and say it is the first of many!
