Junior Bs Season Ends at Semi Final Stage with One Point Defeat

Our Junior B1 team played the county semi final recently against a very strong Inagh Kilnamona side in Clarecastle. The Inagh Kilnamon side had previously beaten our other Junior B team in the early rounds of the championship.

Th Inagh Kilnamona side had a blistering start and at the half time break they went to the dressing rooms leading 1-10 to 0-6. The Bridge came out in the second half and gave a good account of themselves putting in a far better performance than the first half. Goals from David O'Conor and Jack O'Halloran helped to put pressure on Inagh Kilnamona but agonisingly the Bridge could only get to within a point as the final whistle went.

Good for the Bridge on the day were Jack O'Hallloran, John Deasy and Darragh Twomey. A good effort all year by this group and the management team who coached and trained 2 Junior B teams throughout the year. Unfortunately the Junior B1s lost out on this occasion at the semi final stage to Inagh Kilnamona, one consolation being that the Inagh Kilnamona side went on to beat Broadford in the County Final. Onwards and upwards for next year hopefully in the clubs quest to reach Junior A status again. Hopefully with he influx of Minor players fresh from winning their championship last weekend, they will be able to help in this regard.
