St Finians under 16 hurlers travelled to play Naomh Barrog on Saturday afternoon in the  semi final of the championship.

Naomh Barrog used home advantage and wind advantage to good effect in the 1st half and led 2-5 to 0-5 at half time.

St Finians found better form in the 2nd half but despite this found themselves trailing by 5 points with the game heading into injury time but high drama was on the way in an epic finale.

St Finians showing great determination and a never say die spirit scored 2 goals in the closing stages to win by the narrowest of margins 4 08 to 4 07.

This win secured a final place against Thomas Davis for an eagerly awaited clash on the 15th November.  Time and venue to be confirmed in due course
