Ballyea GAA Book Launched 08/11/25

We had a fantastic turnout last night in The Local Inn for the launch of our new club history book, “Bringing Honour to the name of Ballyea” and what a celebration it was! 🎉 Derrick and Helen O’Connor at the Local Inn were the perfect hosts.

From our earliest days right up to 1984, this book captures the incredible journey of Ballyea GAA — the people, the passion, and the proud moments that have shaped our parish both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support the launch — players past and present, club members, families, and friends. Special thanks to Mike O’Shea, Editor and his hard-working book committee of Vincent O’Connor, Seamus O’Reilly and Donal Kelly who were the ones that spent countless hours gathering stories, photos and memories to make this project a reality. Without you the book would not have happened 🙌

Thanks to Tony Kelly for launching the book, Pat Moylan MC on the night, Kieran Keating, Chairperson of Clare GAA and Ballyea Club Chairperson Diarmuid Considine who all made the night so special. 

It was a night full of laughter, nostalgia, and community pride — a reminder of what makes Ballyea GAA so special. 💛🖤
