It is with deep sadness that we learned on Thursday of the passing of a beloved member of our GAA club Thomas (Tomsie) Buggle.
A kind gentleman and true friend on and off the pitch, Tomsie played football and hurling for the club. Not content with contributing as a player alone, he also took up the whistle and refereeing senior county finals and winning Kildare Referee of the year.
He was passionate about all things GAA serving on many committees within the club and was delegate to the county board for many years. He was also the first bar manager in the club in 1976. He continued his work around the club and every March would support the club fundraising.
He was also central to the community involved in the drama group, panto, choir and many remember his weekly fruit and veg round in his van.
Deepest sympathies to Margaret , Johnny and the Buggle and Molloy families on Tomsie’s passing.
