CLUB MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
A huge thanks to Fr John Harris for celebrating our Club Remembrance Mass, for deceased members. It was a lovely evening of remembrance with the Community Committee laying on a fantastic spread of refreshments for the chats afterwards. Thank you & hugely appreciated
MUNSTER FINAL
Whilst we’re all very disappointed in the club, we are so proud of our Senior girls performance which saw us narrowly defeated by St.Finbarrs in a thrilling Munster Final. A point up with a minute of normal time left, in an evenly matched game, Barrs got the break down the left corner and squared to a goal finish that separated the teams as we battled hard in the remaining three minutes of added time in a game that will be long in the memory. Beth Carton 0- (6F), Abby Flynn 1-3, Maggie Gostl 1-0. Huge well done to all the Club supporters who travelled in big numbers and were certainly heard in Semple Stadium.
Well done to our u8, u9, u10 & u11 girls, Elke, Ellie, Emma, Lily, Robyn, Rosie, Sadie B & Sadie M who performed a guard of honour for our senior Camogie team and cheered them onto the pitch at Semple Stadium. Super cheering girls and great display of club colours Thank you very much to Carmel and all in Munster Camogie for organising this for our girls. They all had a great day.
GAA
Hard luck to our U20 Hurlers who went down to Ballygunner by the narrowest of margins in the Eddie O’ Donnell Monumental Works Eastern Final, after extra time. 2-24 to 2-23. It was a superb performance by the lads in every position on the pitch, but plenty of questions on the added time beyond that announced in the extra time and second half of added time. Well done lads, you did us all very proud!
Another great turnout for our U7s this week. Huge congratulations to hurler of the week; Eoin Fuller. Eoin has been with the group since the summer. He never misses training, always listens to the trainers, and gives 100%. His skills have really come on in a short period. Well done Eoin, keep up the hard work, and practicing at home
JOHN KELLY OPEL
Well wear & safe driving to Tom O’ Leary on his new car from John Kelly Opel. John Kelly Opel are a long standing appreciated supporter & sponsor of our Club, thank you… If you’re changing your car, or considering your first car, don’t forget to have a look at their range, but don’t just kick the tyres.. ha
