Navan Women’s 2nd XV fell to a strong Roscrea side on Sunday, with the home team running in eight tries to secure a 46–5 victory.

Navan started brightly and dominated much of the opening 30 minutes, applying sustained pressure and asking questions of the Roscrea defence. However, once the hosts settled, they grew into the game and took their chances clinically, pulling away before the break and continuing to build their lead in the second half.

Despite the result, Navan produced several determined passages of play and showed resilience throughout.
A standout display came from birthday girl Martina O’Neill, whose work rate and commitment earned her the Navan Player of the Match.
