Calasanctius College were honoured to play their first competitive game on the 4G pitch at the new Chubb Renville Sports Ground last Friday 28th November.

A goal and a point from James McGuire in the first half and two well taken scores by Tiernan Grealish saw Calasanctius lead by a point at half-time.

A strong second half performance from Calasanctius led by James Lennon and Cillian Costello, saw them qualify for the quarter-finals of the Connacht Championship. The home team pushed on in the second half with a strong display from Brian McGrath and Shay Rabbitt at midfield. Aaron Hanrahan kicked two of the best scores of the afternoon to settle matters.
