Today (Tuesday) was a special day for two members of our Gaelic4Mothers@Others squad. In the INEC in Killarney, Judge Paddy McMahon administered the Declaration of Fidelity to the Irish Nation and Loyalty to the State and conferred Irish Citizenship to Kacie and Ilana.
Kacie is from California and Ilana from South Africa. Both Kacie and Ilana proudly wore their G4M&O Mullingar Shamrocks jackets and took time out to wave their Mullingar Shamrocks banner when the ceremony was over.
It was an occasion of great joy in which over 5,200 candidates from 132 countries attended the various ceremonies on Monday and Tuesday and became Irish citizens.
