As we prepare to say our final goodbye to our dear friend Billy Loughnane, we invite our community to join us in forming a Guard of Honour in his memory.
Billy was a true stalwart of our parish — a quiet, constant presence who captured thousands of photos at countless events across all our clubs. His camera preserved the life of our community in ways we can never fully express our gratitude for. Though we may have tried to dodge his lens at times, we now treasure every moment he recorded: the loved ones gone before us, the celebrations, and the happy days we shared together.
Our entire parish is heartbroken at his loss, and we hope Billy knew how loved he was by everyone who crossed his path.

We invite those who wish to pay their respects to join the Guard of Honour at the following times:
  • Thursday evening: Meeting at Guilfoyles Shop at approximately 8.15pm
  • Friday morning: Gathering at Larkins Furniture Store at 10.45am

In a special tribute, we also invite dog owners who shared a connection with Billy — and his own beautiful family of golden retrievers — to join the Guard of Honour with their dogs, if possible. We think it would bring a smile to Billy’s face to see them there.
