This months AGM saw the era of Chairman Joe come to an end… and what a three years it’s been. Joe was at the helm as the club celebrated our Centenary Year, oversaw the installation of our Ball Wall, handed out checks to lotto winners, and cars to car draw winners… at one point he even ended up shovelling ‘calf splat’.
Joe could be seen at every adult game over every code, either cheering on our players, running the line or raising flags behind the goal. He was an ever present at all club events, from the Ciarán Benville Memorial Days, to the Centenary celebrations, to the Irish language events held at the club. Joe was constantly there, and constantly supporting!
In years to come Joe will be remembered as the brainchild behind the purchase and development of Ballybin Park, ensuring there is space for all players of all levels and safeguarding the future of our great club.
It has been a very busy three years, and there was no better man to lead to lead the way! Míle buíochas ó gach duine i CLG Domhnach Mór Cill Dhéagláin!
