Beckman started the game well and were 7 points in front after 9 minutes. Atlantic got back in the contest on 10 minutes with a goal from Dylan Hennessy after a initial shot from Dannan Fox was saved. Beckman replied with a brilliant point from Shane McGrath who fired over while on his knees on 13 minutes. Atlantic kept the pressure on and the lead was reduced to 1 point on 19 minutes when Fox was fouled and goalkeeper Aran Landy scored a goal from the resultant penalty. Beckman hit back immediately with a goal from John Brigdale to go 4 in front again. Atlantic then hit a purple patch and as the game went into injury time the sides were level. A crucial goal from Devanney right on half time after he got on the end of a ball from Andrew Conheady and fired past Landy to leave it Beckman Coulter/East Clare Fitness 2-13 Atlantic Aviation Group 2-10 at half time.
Atlantic made a great start to the second half with a goal from Frankie Meaney on 31 minutes to draw level again. Shane McGrath replied for Beckman with a point on 32 minutes. Back came Atlantic to draw level again with a point from Lorcan Walsh. Nicky O'Connell put Beckman back in front from a free on 35 minutes. Devanney scored his second goal on 36 minutes when he worked hard to get on the end of a ball into the 21 from Daniel Moloney and finish low to the net. Atlantic had a chance to get back in the game on 45 minutes but Finn Madden was denied by a great save from Luke Solan. Beckman went up the other end and Nicky O'Connell found Devanney who completed his hat trick to open up a 7 point lead. Another goal from Devanney in the closing stages after getting on the end of a good ball in from Conor Burke ensured there would be no way back for Atlantic as Beckman ran out deserving winners in the end.
