☘️🇮🇪 St Patrick’s Day ☘️🇮🇪

Maynooth GAA are inviting all our club members, young and old, to join us for the St Patrick’s Day Parade on Tuesday.  This year’s theme is “Medieval Maynooth” celebrating our town turning 850 Years Old, with the arrival of the Norman Fitzgerald family and the foundation of Maynooth Castle.  That history is proudly carried into the 21st Century by Maynooth GAA Club with the Fitzgerald family crest being the basis of our club crest, and the battle cry of the Fitzgerald’s “Crom Abú” proudly displayed underneath it as our teams go into battle on the field.

To celebrate the parade theme, we are asking our juvenile club members to get creative and create their own Norman helmet for marching in the parade.  See attached details on how to create your own helmet.  Come dressed up in your own club colours and add a touch of Medieval Maynooth to complete this year’s St Patrick’s Day look.

The Crom Abú will line up at spot 12 (Greenfield Drive) on the morning of the parade. Please arrive by 10.30am sharp

We look forward to seeing you all there…  Crom Abú!!! 🏁🇮🇪☘️
