DINNER DANCE & MEDAL PRESENTATION
Thanks to all who attended the event in Revel At The Ragg last Monday evening. It was wonderful to see such a large turnout to celebrate & congratulate our successful teams with some good food, interviews and music. Thanks also to Tipperary senior hurling manager Liam Cahill for making the medals presentations and well done to all involved in organising such a well run event.
COUNTY HURLING LEAGUE
We got our league campaign off to a winning start last Saturday with a comfortable win against Loughmore-Castleiney in Castleiney. It was nip and tuck in the opening quarter as the sides traded points. A goal on the stroke of 30 minutes by Luke Shanahan, followed by a Mikey Lavery point saw Upperchurch lead 1-7 to 0-7 at half time. The first ten minutes of the second half were where Upperchurch really built on their advantage, scoring 6 of the 7 points. This lead was gradually extended until full time where we won on a double score total of 1-21 to 0-12. Next game up is a home tie against Mulllinahone, currently fixed for Sunday 29th March.

Our junior A team were defeated by Thurles Sarsfields 4-17 to 1-14 last Sunday in Drombane in the mid junior league division 1. They are in action again this Sunday at 12pm in The Ragg against Drom & Inch. Our junior C side play their first division four game tonight(Friday) as they face Boherlahan Dualla in Drombane at 7:45pm. Best of luck to all involved.
